Coffee Sourcing
Good coffee starts long before the kettle. We care how a lot tastes, who grew it at a human scale, and whether we can describe it honestly on the page.
What we look for
- Small farms and cooperatives — grower-scale lots when the origin supports it
- A cup you can name — chocolate, fruit, caramel, florals — not “mystery dark blend” with no story
- A short menu — fewer bags, clearer choices, better reorders for home and shops
Brand roots vs bean origin
Casa Rústico draws its soul from Puerto Rico’s mountain coffee country — highlands, early mornings, the culture of the cup. That shapes how we look and how we talk.
Growing origin is always listed on the product. We only call a coffee Puerto Rican-grown when that lot truly is. Many specialty lots we feature come from classic origins (Latin America, East Africa, and more) chosen for character and clarity.
From lot to door
Green coffee is roasted and packed by a U.S. specialty partner under the Casa Rústico label, then shipped to your door. Open the bag, brew, enjoy. Logistics stay quiet so the farm and the cup stay front and center.
